Rebecca Sippel, MD, FACS

Rebecca Sippel, MD, is a UW Health surgeon. She's also a professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Sippel treats people with disorders involving their hormones and endocrine glands. She performs surgery on the thyroid (small gland at the base of the neck), parathyroid (pea-sized glands behind the thyroid) and adrenal glands (on top of the kidneys). Dr. Sippel has a special interest in treating people who need a second parathyroid surgery to correct a procedure performed elsewhere. She also manages thyroid cancer and works to help patients live high-quality lives. To help ensure successful outcomes, Dr. Sippel conducts clinical research related to endocrine surgery.
