Dawn Elfenbein, MD, is a UW Health general surgeon and an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. With fellowship training in endocrine surgery, Dr. Elfenbein diagnoses and treats endocrine (hormone production) disorders such as thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal gland diseases. She cares for patients who have benign (noncancerous) inflammatory thyroid conditions such as Graves' disease, thyroid cancer and many other conditions. She uses advanced technologies and techniques, including neck ultrasound and minimally invasive procedures.
