Peter Van Wagenen, MD, joined the Bellingham PeaceHealth Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Center team in June of 2017. Dr. Van Wagenen completed his medical residency in general surgery at Veterans Administration Wadsworth Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. He went on to serve as a staff surgeon with Group Health Cooperative of Puget Sound. Prior to joining PeaceHealth, Dr. Van Wagenen was a wound care surgeon with Advantage Wound Care in Everett, Washington, and also served as a surgeon with Franciscan Medical Group in Tacoma, Washington. After a long career as a general surgeon, he is interested in providing wound care as a way to continue to help people heal.
