David Ormond, MD provides general surgery services at PeaceHealth. He studied medicine at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, followed by clinical rotation experience in New York City and residency training in Danbury, CT, and finally at the University of Rochester. During his residency Dr. Ormond participated in a Simulation and Education Fellowship, studying educational theory, simulation techniques, and debriefing methodology. Dr. Ormond comes from a family that included expertise in both medicine and hands-on craftsmanship. "My mother was a nurse and instilled a duty to serve within me. My father was a hobbyist carpenter and fostered a love in me of working with my hands.
