Dr. Michael Townsend grew up in McAllen, Texas and received his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University in College Station. After attending medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, he completed his general surgery residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Dr. Townsend also completed a vascular fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Townsend is board certified with the American College of Surgeons.
