Dr. Sheetal Patel is a board certified general surgeon and fellowship trained bariatric surgeon. She graduated cum laude from Baylor University in 1997 with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry. She then worked as a researcher in the department of Plastic Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. She went on to receive her medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She completed her residency training in general surgery at the University of Illinois Metropolitan Group Hospitals in Chicago, Illinois.
