Dr. Hishaam Ismael is a General Surgeon at UT Health East Texas in Tyler, Texas. He specializes in hepatobiliary (HPB) surgery, focusing on complex surgeries of the liver, bile ducts, and pancreas. With training from MD Anderson, Dr. Ismael brings the latest surgical techniques to East Texas. He combines surgical oncology with HPB surgery and treats various gastrointestinal malignancies, including gastric and colorectal cancer. Dr. Ismael utilizes minimally invasive techniques and intra-operative ultrasonography to achieve better outcomes. He is also a clinical faculty physician at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler, affiliated with the UT Tyler School of Medicine.
