Dr Meyer is a cardiothoracic surgeon specializing in mitral valve repair, aortic valve disease, and surgical treatment for congestive heart failure, including LVAD implantation and heart transplantation. He also has clinical expertise in thoracoscopic surgery, including sympathectomy for hyperhidrosis, and interests in patient and provider education, disease prevention, and population health management. He serves at Baylor Scott & White Health as a professor of thoracic and cardiovascular surgery at Texas A&M College of Medicine and as the chair of cardiovascular surgery and the chief of cardiac transplantation and advanced cardiac circulatory support in Dallas.
