Dr Andrea Garcia is a dedicated general surgeon who chose to serve the San Antonio community after earning her medical degree here, and later, completing her medical residency in general surgery. Committed to interacting with her patients as if they were her own family members, Dr Garcia explains patients’ diagnoses and recommended treatment plans. She then listens and answers questions and concerns. Having been a surgical patient herself, Dr Garcia is empathetic and works to collaborate with her patients, ultimately supporting them in exercising patient autonomy and making the decision that is right for them. She is fluent in Spanish and enjoys time with family, cooking, outdoor activities, and sports.
