Dr. Fernando is director of thoracic surgery at Allegheny General Hospital and Professor of Surgery, Drexel University College of Medicine. Dr. Fernando is experienced in video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) and robotic procedures for the lung, esophagus, and mediastinum. He is also skilled in endoscopic procedures such as POEM (peroral endoscopic myotomy) and TIF (transoral incisionless fundoplication) for gastroesophageal reflux.
