David M. West, MD

About

David West, MD, is a cardiothoracic surgeon and has certifications in thoracic surgery by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and general surgery by the American Board of Surgery. He is director of cardiac surgery at UPMC Passavant. Dr. West received his medical degree from West Virginia University and completed his residency at the University of Kentucky, followed by his fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital. His clinical interests include treatment of coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, and atrial fibrillation. He is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons. Dr. West lives in Latrobe with his wife and two children, is an avid golfer, and enjoys hockey and traveling.
