Anthony “Tony” Cyr MD, PhD, is a General Surgeon and is certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of Iowa and completed his residency at UPMC. Dr. Cyr’s clinical interests include general surgery, benign biliary disease, and abdominal and inguinal hernias. He has published over 28 peer-reviewed articles or book chapters and presented over 15 abstracts at regional and national meetings. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons Resident and Associate Society. In his spare time, Dr. Cyr enjoys spending time with his family, playing the guitar, and learning to cook.
