Thomas H. Bascom MD

Dr. Tom Bascom was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and was raised in Eugene, Oregon, where he has practiced surgery since 1991. He completed his general surgery residency in Madison, Wisconsin, under Dr. Folkert Baelzer, and then trained in colon and rectal surgery under Mr. Hamish Thomson at the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. Dr. Bascom is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a member of the Northwest Colon & Rectal Society, the Oregon Medical Association and the Lane County Medical Society. He has a broad practice in general and vascular surgery with a special interest in Colon and Rectal Surgery. He and his father John Bascom, MD, PhD have been pioneers in pilonidal surgery techniques.
