Dr. Emma Patterson developed a passion for bariatric surgery during her fellowship in advanced laparoscopic surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. She has 15 years of experience and has performed over 4,000 laparoscopic bariatric surgeries. As a recognized leader in U.S. laparoscopic bariatric surgery, she performs hundreds of procedures including laparoscopic adjustable gastric bands, laparoscopic gastric bypasses and laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomies. In addition to these primary procedures, she has mastered revisional bariatric procedures, is an investigator in the NIH funded consortium, Longitudinal Assessment of Bariatric Surgery (LABS) and is the principal investigator on many clinical trials.
