Kshitij Kakar, MD, comes from a medical family his parents are both physicians, his sister is a dentist, and multiple extended family members practice medicine. Influenced by his father, who is a general surgeon, he found that he enjoyed the ability to directly help patients through surgery. Dr Kakar takes a personalized approach to his practice, treating each patient as a family member. He values his time with patients and believes that effective communication is essential to understanding patients and their problems. He focuses on educating patients about their surgical issues and plan of care, encouraging patients to ask questions to ensure understanding.
