Dr. Matthew Martin is a board-certified general surgeon in Greensboro, NC. Dr. Martin received his BA from Rice University and his M.D. from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. His internship and residency were completed at the Wake Forest University Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem and included a clinical research fellowship. Dr. Martin’s practice includes the range of general surgery and cancer surgery. He performs laparoscopic bariatric surgery (Lap Bands and Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass surgery) and his area of special interest is advanced videoscopic surgery of the GI tract including laparoscopic colon resections and hiatal hernia reconstructions.
