About

Dr. Baerman earned her undergraduate, graduate and medical degrees at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, remaining in the Triangle for her residency at the University of North Carolina Hospitals She fortified her surgeon expertise through an Advanced Surgical Breast Oncology Training Program and an Oncology Research Fellowship. Today, Dr. Baerman frequently performs biopsies, breast conservation and oncoplastic surgery, mastectomies and sentinel lymph node biopsies. Dr. Baerman coordinates a multi-disciplinary team approach for comprehensive cancer care to ensure customized care and optimum outcomes for each individual patient.
