New York native Dr. Marina Kurian treats patients suffering from obesity and obesity-related health issues to help each patient achieve their weight-loss and wellness goals. Dr. Kurian provides a wide range of bariatric and general surgery options along with dedicated follow-ups to ensure patients have the resources they need. She also educates other surgeons and is an international speaker and widely published expert on minimally invasive surgery. Additionally, she was a principal investigator for the use of the adjustable band for the treatment of morbid obesity and co-investigator on the use of vagus nerve stimulation for the treatment of obesity. Dr. Kurian completed her fellowship in laparoscopic surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center.
