Dr. Josef Shehebar is a dual Board Certified surgeon who specializes in Colon & Rectal Surgery. Dr. Shehebar performs surgical procedures at NYU Langone Hospital - Brooklyn and NYU Langone Medical Center. His clinical and research interests include the care of patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), diverticulitis, advanced colon and rectal cancers, and complex anorectal diseases, including the treatment of hemorrhoids, anal fissures and anal fistulas. He treats all his patients in a minimally invasive fashion utilizing advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgical techniques. Dr. Shehebar has contributed to several peer-reviewed articles and has authored several chapters in well known medical textbooks on gastrointestinal disorders.
