Michael Blea, MD, is a general surgeon specializing in advanced GI and minimally invasive surgery at Lovelace Health System in Albuquerque, NM. With a focus on minimally invasive, robotic-assisted benign foregut surgery and complex abdominal wall reconstruction (hernia repair), Dr. Blea is dedicated to providing high-quality care and patient safety. He earned his Bachelor of Science with a double major in Biology and Biomedical Engineering, as well as his medical degree from Tufts University in Massachusetts. Dr. Blea completed his general surgery residency at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA, and is fellowship trained in Advanced Gastrointestinal Surgery and Minimally Invasive Surgery from Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT.
