In his early years, Dr. Fitzke attended Lincoln East High school, and stayed in Lincoln to complete his Bachelors of Science at Nebraska Wesleyan University. He then continued his education in medicine at the University Of Nebraska College Of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. The next chapter of his career took him to Kalamazoo, Michigan where he completed his internship, residency, and chief residency at the Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies. Dr. Fitzke has a passion for educating the next generation, and has won many awards including Michigan State University’s Resident Teaching Excellence Award three times over. He is also the recipient of the Robert H. Hume award for Excellence in Research.
