Dr. Smith is a Board Certified General Surgeon. He enjoys listening carefully to each patient, learning what is important to them, and tailoring the surgical care plan to each individual. Dr. Smith's special clinical interests include caring for patients with gallbladder disease, inguinal hernias, ventral hernias and incisional hernias (including large hernias requiring abdominal wall reconstruction), hiatal hernias, paraesophageal hernias, colon cancers, diverticulitis, and melanomas. Dr. Smith has performed thousands of minimally invasive procedures, including laparoscopic da Vinci or robotic surgery approaches. Dr. Smith has been honored as a Top Doctor by 417 Magazine, 435 Magazine, Kansas City Magazine, and Ingram's Magazine.
