Dr. Gurbuz graduated from Hacettepe University Medical School in Ankara, Turkey. He then completed a five-year General Surgery Residency at Saint Joseph Hospital Medical Center in Denver, CO. He went on to complete a cardiothoracic surgery residency at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center. Dr. Gurbuz’s cardiac and thoracic surgery career has included practice in Tucson, AZ; Anadolu Foundation Hospitals/Johns Hopkins Medicine in Gebze Kocaeli, Turkey; Virginia Mason Medical Center Seattle, WA; and serving as Medical Director of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Susquehanna Health System in Williamsport, PA and again at Mercy Heart Center, Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, IA.
