Thomas S. Helling, M.D.

About

Dr. Helling is presently the Professor of Surgery and Chief of the Division of General Surgery of the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He is also the Program Director for the Surgery Residency. Dr. Helling has a long interest in and commitment to surgical education. His translational research interests include mechanisms of liver failure following subtotal hepatectomy but also include outcomes research in hepatic, biliary, and pancreatic surgery.
