Shahrzad (Shari) R. Brown, MD, is a Breast Surgical Oncologist at UM Health-Sparrow Lansing. Dr. Brown was born and raised in California and received a B.S. in Molecular and Environmental Biology from the University of California Berkeley and completed General Surgery residency at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland in Pontiac, MI. She is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Brown left Michigan to complete a Breast Surgical Oncology fellowship at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Here she participated in cutting edge research and presented her research nationally at the American Society of Breast Surgeons conference.
