South Shore Hospital Center for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, in collaboration with Brigham and Women's Surgical Associates, is designated a MBSAQIP Accredited Center-Comprehensive. South Shore Hospital also earned the Blue Distinction Center, Aetna Institute of Quality, and the Optum Center of Excellence awards. Our weight-loss surgery program includes state-of-the-art surgical treatment as well as a team of experts who provide lifetime nutritional and behavioral health support—a key component to long-term weight-loss success. Our program is led by Dr. Neil Ghushe who is fellowship trained in bariatric surgery and an instructor of surgery at Harvard Medical School.
