Dr. Joel A. Turner, MD - General Surgery at GBMC

Dr. Turner has been a member of the GBMC community since 1999. He is currently the Vice Chairman of the department of surgery as well as the Chief of Minimally Invasive Surgery. His practice specializes in endocrine and advanced laparoscopic procedures (Nissen Fundoplication, Heller Myotomy, ventral hernia repair) as well as general surgery. He has extensive experience in endocrine surgery (thyroidectomy, parathyroidectomy, laparoscopic adrenalectomy) having performed over 1700 endocrine cases while at GBMC. Dr. Turner is a Diplomat of the American Board of Surgery and is an active member in the American College of Surgeons and the society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons.
