Dr. Pizarro is one of the first specialists in the world to have gained Board Certification in both Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery (Urogynecology) and Gynecologic Surgery by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. Dr. Pizarro has called Shreveport his home since 1983. He studied for eight years at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport to complete medical school and residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology. For the following three years Dr. Pizarro received Fellowship training in Urogynecology, Robotics and Pelvic Surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona Dr. Pizarro is fluent in English and Spanish.
