Originally from Dodge City, Dr. Harris and his family settled in Emporia more than 30 years ago. Following deployment to Rota, Spain as a flight surgeon with the U.S. Navy, Dr. Harris and his wife, Virginia decided to return to the midwest to raise their family and to establish a medical practice.
