Dr. Wieland has practiced general surgery in his hometown of Bloomington, IL since 1992. His practice includes gallbladder removal, hernia repair, breast surgery, colon and intestinal surgery, rectal surgery, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, lymph node surgery, skin and soft tissue surgery such as cancer excision and benign lipoma removal, and catheter placement for chemotherapy or other medications. When applicable, he employs a minimally invasive approach including robotics.
