William Statton, M.D., earned his undergraduate degree from Kentucky Wesleyan College and his medical degree at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery residency at James H. Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University. Dr. Statton is board certified in general surgery. Prior to joining Piedmont Physicians, Dr. Statton worked in private practice for over 10 years. He is a member of the Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons, the American Society of Breast Surgeons, the Society of Surgeons of the Alimentary Tract and the Society of Surgical Oncology.
