Influenced by his father’s military service and his mother’s encouragement to help those in need, Dr. Timothy Finnegan developed a deep sense of empathy for others during his childhood. Dr. Finnegan decided to pursue a career in healthcare to serve others on a daily basis. Dr. Finnegan attended Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University where he graduated as a doctor of medicine. After a surgical internship at UT Southwestern, he completed his general surgery residency at Memorial University Medical Center. He then completed a fellowship in advanced bariatric and minimally invasive surgery at the University of Alabama in Birmingham.
