Dr Schwartz is a recognized national leader in the field of oncoplastic breast surgery. Oncoplastic surgery integrates a complete cancer resection with an immediate plastic surgery reconstruction to avoid deformity, often improving the appearance of the breast. After graduating with MD and PhD degrees, Dr Schwartz completed his general surgery training at Emory University followed by a breast surgical oncology fellowship at Yale University. After 4 years in private practice, he spent a year studying advanced oncoplastic techniques in New Zealand, Milan, Brazil, Paris and London with the international leaders in oncoplastic surgery. Dr Schwartz is exclusively dedicated to breast cancer surgery and reconstruction.
