Kamy Kemp, MD, is the founding physician at AdventHealth Medical Group’s breast surgery practice in Winter Park. She was recruited to Orlando in 2006 because of a rare set of skills shared by only a handful of physicians in the country. Having completed a fellowship in both surgical oncology and breast imaging, she developed a novel concept in which the medical doctor can do the image-guided biopsy and the surgery! Seeing the devastating impact for patients to be bounced for weeks between physicians who could only operate and imaging centers that do biopsies, her mission was to create a living-room type environment to perform all services in a single appointment.
