Josephine Shinn, MD

About

Josephine Shinn, MD, is a general surgeon. After graduating from the University of Miami where she was a varsity student athlete, Dr. Shinn received her medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. She went on to complete a general surgery residency at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and fellowship in breast oncology at University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Shinn practices a whole-person approach to care, addressing the health of the body, mind and spirit. When not at work, she enjoys practicing Italian recipes and following college football.
