Dr. Barry Davis, MD

Dr. Davis initial plan in medical school was to specialize in emergency medicine. But within the first three months of a general surgery rotation, he immediately realized that this was going to be his career choice. He trained at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina which is a 1000-bed level one trauma center. Given a significant amount of variety and acuity in his training he was well prepared to go into community surgery after residency. Dr. Davis has practiced in the rural setting for the majority of his career all the while being in the United States Air Force reserve. He continues to serve in the military today with over 10 years of service.
