Dr. Malek’s skill and specialty training ensures each of his patients receives quality care throughout all stages of the surgical process, from preoperative testing to surgery and postoperative care. He performs single-incision laparoscopic, robotic and open surgeries. He finds his interactions with patients to be the best part of being a surgeon and says the relationships he builds are the reason why he chose surgery as a specialty. Dr. Malek also enjoys teaching patients about their disease process and treatment options. Involving patients in decision-making is an important part of his practice. Throughout his education and career, Dr. Malek has dedicated his time to many nonprofit organizations.
