Christopher Taglia, MD, FACS, FASMBS, DABOM

About

Dr. Taglia earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Miami in Florida with a degree in biology and Spanish. He then attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. During his medical education, he was active in global health outreach. He completed his residency in general surgery at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, with experience in trauma, laparoscopy, and endoscopy. He completed a fellowship at North Shore University Hospital in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery. Dr. Taglia has a passion for treating patients suffering from obesity and is board-certified and fellowship-trained to do so. His interests also include treatment of acid reflux, hernias, colon cancer, and other disorders of the GI tract.
